I'm Adam Rowe, a Staff Mobile Engineer. Most recently I owned a HIPAA-compliant React Native app at Healthie. Before that I took a startup's apps from greenfield to acquisition, and I still ship my own.
Most recently I was Staff React Native Engineer at Healthie, owning technical decisions for a HIPAA-compliant white-label app on a platform used by 25,000+ clinicians, and leading the company's AI-assisted coding effort.
I taught myself to program and have since worked everywhere from three-person startups to Fortune 100 companies. At Dr. Treat I was the third engineer, from greenfield to acquisition. At Rite Aid I architected the app's rebuild from a webview shell to native Swift and Kotlin, and its COVID-19 vaccine scheduling.
I care about the unglamorous parts: build pipelines, crash rates, app start time, and code other engineers can change safely. Lately that includes building my own MCP servers, skills, and agent systems.
